Smithville expands retail operations in French Lick, opens new store, service center

FRENCH LICK (Indiana) – A new branch of Technology Powered by Smithville, the retail operations of Smithville, will formally expand here with an Open House on Saturday, December 10, according to Darby McCarty, chairman and CEO of Smithville. “We are pleased to expand our retail store and service center in French Lick, particularly given the many years that we have been providing voice and internet service there,” said Ms. McCarty. “Smithville has been a strong supporter of the economic and tourism renaissance led by the French Lick Resort and West Baden Hotel, and we believe that the Technology store will add to the attractiveness of the city and region.”

Unique to the new French Lick location is the S Life Lounge, a place where people can experience and sample firsthand the positive impact that Smithville can bring to local residents’ quality of life through high-speed internet, high-quality TV and state-of-the-art home automation. “We are particularly excited about being able to showcase Smithville Security’s high-tech service offerings for digitally accessible thermostats, door locks, electrical outlets, and more, which can transform local living through home automation,” said Ryan Lentz, store operations supervisor for Smithville.

The new store, located at 505 South Maple Street in French Lick, will provide a full complement of consumer technology products and services, including sales of Smithville’s national 4G LTE Apple and Android cell phones.  Retail products include wireless routers, cell phone chargers, gadgets and more. The French Lick Technology store will also provide a broad range of Smithville customer services for internet, voice and TV payments, service and equipment access.

The Grand Opening celebration on Saturday will include a live remote (10 a.m. to noon) by WFLQ, grand opening cupcakes and special promotions that include a drawing to win a Sceptre 43 inch 4K HDTV (no purchase necessary).

“As a locally owned Indiana company, we look forward to providing this new dimension of service and hometown support for French Lick area customers,” said Ms. McCarty.
