Geo-Location Issues
Streaming services like Hulu Live and YouTube TV use your device’s location and IP address to determine your “home area.” If you’re traveling, using a VPN, or your internet provider has changed your IP address, the service may think you’re outside your home location.
Hulu Live:
Go to Hulu.com on a device connected to your home network.
Navigate to Account > Privacy and Settings > Set or Change Home.
Follow the prompts to update your home location.
YouTube TV:
Visit tv.youtube.com and go to Settings > Area > Home Area.
Update your location using a device connected to your home Wi-Fi.
⚠️ Note: You can only change your home location a few times per year. Frequent changes may result in restrictions.
Your home location determines which local channels and regional sports networks you can access. Services like Hulu Live allow only one home location and restrict changes to a limited number per year.
Your home network typically refers to your residential Wi-Fi connection. Mobile hotspots, corporate networks, or hotel Wi-Fi may not qualify.
Yes, but:
You may lose access to local channels.
Some services require you to check in from your home network every 30 days to maintain access.
You can update your home location using the steps above. Be aware of the limits on how often you can change it.
Restart your device and router.
Disable any VPN or proxy.
Ensure location services are enabled on your device.
